Happy St. Patrick's Day, y'all! Sending lots of love (and booze) to all our little Irish babies out there!
Whenever I think of going out on St. Patty's day, I always think of the episode of The Office (by that, I'm sure you know it's Cort writing the post) where they all have to work late and Michael gets super stressed out because they can't go out right at 5pm. But then they finally do, and they go really hard!
While we're not the gals to go super hard on this holiday (we're also not Irish, so that probably has something to do with it), we appreciate any excuse for a boozy coffee drink! So, we reached out to the cocktail queen, Natalie of Arsenic Lace (@arseniclace on Instagram), to come up with a themed cocktail and man, she did not disappoint (as if she ever disappoints us ever...cause she doesn't)! So we're super excited to share her recipe for a Frozen Irish Coffee *wipes drool from mouth*.
- 1 1/2 oz Irish whiskey
- 1/2 oz coffee liqueur
- 1 oz cold brew
- 1/2 oz Demerara simple syrup
- 1 scoop coffee ice cream
- Whipped cream
- Ground coffee
Add whiskey, coffee liqueur, cold brew, simple syrup, ice cream, and a cup of ice to a blender. Blend until smooth and then pour into your desired glasses (we totally think this is worth breaking out your fancy glasses). Garnish with whipped cream and a sprinkle of ground coffee! It's seriously that easy (possibly dangerously easy)! ;) We may or may not have garnished ours with some Lucky Charms too, because we may or may not be five year olds? Whatever.
What are y'all making for the holiday? A girl can't have too many coffee cocktail options. ;)
