Whimsy Wishlist Wednesday: Guilty Pleasure Movies

Alright, y'all. It's been a hot minute since we've done a Wishlist Wednesday, but we're feeling crazy movie nostalgia this week, and we're here to talk guilty pleasures! Like, you know. The movies you watch when you're really sad or really happy. Just your "feel good" movies. Usually a little love, a little heartache, and just the perfect amount of cheesiness, and your soul is just soaring. Like the movies you'd want to watch if you were stuck on an island somewhere, cause they just don't get old. BUT don't get these babies confused with "all time favorite" flicks. Cause they're different...but also the same...y'all get it, right? ;)

So, we're each going to give you guys our top 3!

Cort's first!

I mean, first of all, that cover is just 90's gold! And you really can't get any better than Julia Roberts. She's like, perfect. And it's the classic "I fell in love with my best friend" mushy-gushy wonderfulness that we all love. Add it to your Amazon cart here

B-E-A-UTIFUL. I feel like Jim Carrey's humor is a super specific kind of humor and I am INTO IT. He's easily one of my favorite actors of all time, and this movie just brings back memories of watching it in a living room fort with my mom and brother and eating chocolate chip cookies. Like, I can remember the sheets we used to make the fort. Weird how movies can make you remember small stuff like that, right? :) Go ahead and do yourself a favor and get it here

Sweet lawwwwd, I could write about this movie for years. But I won't. As a southern gal, this is a movie I grew up with. Not just watching it. In the setting. Not in 1989, but small, southern town. Gossipy women. Fried food. It just gives me all the feels. If you haven't seen it, I don't know what I can even say, except you have to. That's all. Get it. Get it now & here

Jen's turn!!

I'm a crier. So much so that I will purposefully YouTube search wedding proposal videos and watch like 15 and have a good cry. I'm that girl. I'm also a hopeful romantic. Terribly optimistic and mushy. So if you're like me, you'd love this one. Super cheesy. And awesome. And BEAUTIFUL cause they're in Verona. <3 Get it here.

"Where do you think you are? Arby's?!" "I wish I was at an Arby's! There's better food and cooler people!" Most quotable movie ever? Maybe. I never get tired of this pair. Ever. Everything they touch is gold. This is my all time fave of theirs. *praise hands* Rent or buy here.

"It's not called gym-nice-tics." Maybe it's the Olympics makin' me choose this one...but it's def a guilty pleasure. Girl power to the max. Homegirl is a total bada$$. Always a feel good movie (and a motivator to go to the gym....). Watch here.

What are YOUR guilty pleasure movies??
